DWIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR – Episodic
Every VFX artist’s dream come true – making a fire breathing dragon! One of the challenges with this show, in general, was the conflict between the imaginative writing and limited budget. We had to get creative to find ways to do cool things quickly and efficiently. Usually that meant off-the-shelf CG assets.
Fortunately we were able to find a fantastic dragon model for purchase that allowed us to jump right to rigging and shading. Anthony Thomas built a fantastic environment from Quixel assets. I threw in some fun lighting and comped in fire from a stock library. That got us to final result quickly. It turned out great and still fit nicely within the budget.
